Submission Rules
There are literally thousands and thousands of site directories out there today. Which is why it takes more and more effort to keep a quality directory up. Due to this reason we abide by a strict set of rules for our approval process. Please, if the link you are suggesting does not abide by the following rules, do not submit!
1. The site must be established. This means it must be on its own domain name, no free domain names will be accepted.
2. The site must not look spammy. It can't be overloaded with advertisments or pop up windows. No, pop ups are not cool.
3. The site must offer something of quality to our users. We will not map users to sites that do not offer something good!
4. The site can be a subpage, or subdomain of a site, however, it must be a very good quality page that is worth listing on its own. Our editors will have the final decision on whether to list the page or not. This is generally only applicable to big sites, which have important subcategories. If your site is small your page is not likely to be approved.
5. You cannot submit two pages from the same site, in the same category. You may have 2 pages from the same site (different pages of course) in different categories.
6. You cannot violate any copyright laws, this includes but is not limited to: Bandwidth Theft, Content Stealing, Layout Stealing, MP3 Streaming.
7. Your site must be submitted to the appropiate category. Please pick the best subcategory possible. If you think we miss one, please contact us and we will have it sorted.
8. Sites cannot be submitted to parent categories. (ie: Internet.) Please pick an appropiate subcategory or suggest one.
9. Your site must abide by these rules throughout the lifetime of its listing. Shall your site stop abiding by our rules at any point in time, we reserve the right to take it down without providing any refunds. In simpler words, don't put up a nice site and once you are listed, take it down and turn it into some illegal paradise.
10. You must have read and understood the rules above. Capisce?
Now that the rules are out of the way, the last thing you need to know is that we will refund your payment if we do not approve your site, however, if you keep submitting bad sites we will just stop accepting submissions from you altogether. The point of Map100 is to become a quality portal to the best sites on the net, not just another directory.
